Campaign Finance Reports/Informes financieros de campaña
Candidates are required by state law to file semi-annual campaign finance reports (Form C/OH) with the City Clerk’s office.  These reports are due January 15th and July 15th of each year, and reporting requirements end when a candidate has filed a final report with the City Clerk. Retention for semi-annual reports is date of filing + 5 years for online posting requirements. (Per HB 2626), and therefore only those reports in effect are shown below.

  1. Application For A Place On General Election Ballot – The first day to file for a place on the ballot is Wednesday, January 17, 2024.  City offices are open 8:00 a.m-12:00 pm and 12:30 pm-4:30 pm. The City Secretary is responsible only for accepting and filing the various applications, affidavits, and statements, and noting the date and time of filing. Any questions regarding campaign finance reporting should be directed to the Texas Ethics Commission at 512-463-5800. The City Secretary should not be expected to judge or comment upon the timeliness or sufficiency of reports filed. Please also note that these documents are public records and are open for inspection by any person.  Copies of these forms and documents are available at City Secretary’s Office, 104 S. Main Street, during regular business hours.

Registered voters of the City of Thrall are eligible to vote in city elections. Voters are required to be registered to vote 30 days in advance of each election.
